We were tired from driving and relieved to find a room available when we arrived around 8 PM. Our first-floor room had two comfortable queen beds, soft sheets, fresh-looking bedding, and plenty of towels, soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. The vinyl floors were clean, the drapes looked new, and I checked around and behind things because I’m fussy about hotel cleanliness. The whole room passed that test. The property is older, though there were lots of boxes out front, so they may be renovating. It was well lit and clean outside, too. The only noise came from guests locking their cars late at night and early in the morning, with the horn beeping. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The doors all face outside, and I noticed exterior stairs but couldn’t tell whether there’s an elevator to the second floor. I’d stay again, which says a lot.

This is an older motel that’s been upgraded, and I have no complaints. What really made the stay pleasant was the staff, so take time to get to know them. Kachua from housekeeping always greeted me with a smile and checked that our room had been cleaned the way we wanted. Deanna on the night shift was kind and let us use the breakfast room for games. Beth handled the front desk in the mornings and kept breakfast going while also doing her other duties. She was friendly and efficient. Dee, who worked evenings at the desk, was absolutely precious and did everything she could to make our stay better. She was always there when we needed something, and even joined our card game for a few minutes while still keeping an eye on the desk. Ankur Patel, the general manager, was easy to work with and quickly sorted out a small problem with our group reservation. I really appreciated his help. Every person we met was extremely kind. This is the first motel I’ve booked where I can remember every employee’s name. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Everything else was great, but the breakfast was pretty bad, which is the only reason I didn’t give the hotel five stars. Dee was especially helpful, suggesting a great place to eat and somewhere to walk our dog. She always smiled and was there when we needed her. Definitely five stars for her!

The place was good overall, and the staff were good. My one issue was the pet fee: it’s $25.00 per night for each pet. I stayed three days and never asked for housekeeping, but was still charged the fee for all three days. We cleaned the room before leaving, and you’d never know we’d had a pet there. I just think the charge is way too high.
