Angels Inn

A decent option for a place like Angels Camp. The reception staff were helpful and friendly.

The room had fleas, and I spent three hours cleaning the filthy place. The vents were dirty too, and weed smell came through them. There was a rude lady manager, though the man manager and the kids seemed nice. It’s also used for long-term stays by unhoused people and county-run programs. Gross and disgusting. Don’t book here.

I’ve stayed here twice while working in the area because the rates were more reasonable. The first time, the front desk was nice and arranged a second-floor room for me. When I returned during snowy, icy weather, they easily put me on the first floor with no room above. The rooms I’ve had were clean, and the wall unit warmed mine up really fast. Just know the office closes at 7 pm for check-in. 🐸💜

For one night, it was decent, and the staff were very nice and accommodating at check-in. This was my second stay. The bedroom was clean, but the bathroom looked like housekeeping had rushed: the toilet hadn’t been flushed. The AC cooled well, but every time it turned on it made a horrible noise that made sleep difficult. It may have just been the unit in my room. If I stay again in warm weather, I’ll try to bring earplugs. I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.
