Breakfast had plenty of options, though no scrambled eggs. I was glad there were hard-boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, and burritos instead. Esther at the front desk is one of the kindest, most easygoing agents I’ve met, and she always answers my questions. The rooms mostly have hard floors, but there are rugs by the bed and, in the suite I had, beside the couch, so I was comfortable. This Best Western has gradually become one of my favorites, even as a diamond select member. I like staying in this small historic town and hope to return.

Cassandra made check-in easy and stress-free, and helped me add another day to my stay. She was friendly and professional throughout. When I had a room issue, Kim quickly found me another one and was kind and accommodating, making sure we were looked after. Staff service like theirs makes a real difference. Thanks to both of you for a great stay at this Best Western.

The bathroom needs ventilation. It wasn’t installed, so it can stay musty and steamy for a long time after a shower. That’s the only reason I’m not giving five stars. Otherwise, it’s a great hotel, especially for a Best Western: well stocked and cared for, with friendly, courteous management and staff. Breakfast is great, and I’d recommend it and stay again when we travel.

I wasn’t expecting much for the price, so the breakfast was a nice surprise. Along with waffles, cereal, fruit, juice and the usual basics, there were biscuits and gravy, lots of yogurt choices, decent bagels, Jimmy Dean sandwiches and frozen breakfast burritos. We had a clean king suite with a jetted tub, just as expected, and the staff were friendly and responsive. It made an already great weekend in the foothills even better. I’ll book here again next time we’re in Calaveras County.

The room had a clean king bed, plenty of towels and supplies, and the WiFi worked great. I spent two nights at Best Western Cedar Inn & Suites during a summer staycation in Calaveras County. It’s conveniently on Highway 49, with restaurants, fast food and shopping within walking distance. Check-in was quick and welcoming, and I used the complimentary breakfast, which had the usual hot and cold choices. I’d consider staying again on my next visit to the area.
