Scottish Inn and Suites

For about $85 a night, plus $20 for a pet for two nights, this is really just somewhere to lay your head. There was mold in the bathroom, and the shower controls were backwards: hot was marked on the right and cold on the left, but it was the other way around. The sofa was badly sunken, and the beds feel like they might be as old as the place, if not older. For that price, it’s disappointing.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month, with dust everywhere. The bathroom was dusty too, and I saw a huge spider go down the tub drain. The couch was filthy and caved in, and the microwave was so burnt up it needs to go in the trash. It was awful.

These rooms are worse than some rundown apartments. $75 is just too much, period. After tax, this feels like a $53 room.

I left after the first night, although I’d booked two days in town. I only stayed that night because the rate wasn’t refundable. I’m usually flexible when I’m traveling alone and just need a place to sleep. I stayed on Aug 15,2024, and the room needed repairs, not just updating. Half the cabinet handles were broken, and when I opened one cabinet, its door came off. Some floor molding wasn’t attached to the wall. The toilet paper holder was stuffed with the roll instead of holding it properly. After I splashed water during a shower, a towel got really dirty when I tried to mop it up. At checkout around 7:45 in the morning, the guy was really rude when I asked for a receipt. I think I woke him up.
