Best Western Premier Des Moines-Ankeny Hotel

I got here during a rough snowstorm on a road trip, grabbed a pizza from Casey's across the street, and ate it in my room. After a shower and a good night’s sleep in a clean room, I had an even better breakfast before checking out. The stay was great, and the room was affordable, maybe around $80. Worth every bit.

The hotel is really nice and clean, and the general manager was incredibly kind. I’d booked through hotels.com in the lobby while tired after a long day and accidentally chose the wrong date, even though I needed a room that night. She was on duty and worked with hotels.com to sort it out. I’m so grateful for the fantastic service and can’t recommend the place enough.

Everything was fantastic on my first visit. The hotel was quiet, and both the room and the roomy shower were clean. Breakfast was great too. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The hotel looks very nice and clean, and the rooms are updated. But my first room was 75 degrees, and lowering the thermostat to 68 made no difference after a few hours. The next room was 76, with the same problem, and its refrigerator was blowing hot air. At 3:30 a.m. there was no one at the front desk, so I called. The receptionist came in from outside and offered another room. I turned it down because I was tired, and decided to try again in the morning.
