Holiday Inn Express & Suites DES MOINES - ANKENY by IHG

We stayed here three months ago on the way from Colorado to Wisconsin and everything was great, including the location and service. On this trip, though, there were no coffee makers in the rooms. We were told IGH had instructed them to remove them for sustainability, which I find hard to believe. The young woman at the desk kindly offered to bring one up or have us go to the lobby, but having to ask for coffee is a real change for us. It's a small thing, but we were used to having that convenience. I guess ask questions and make sure you're still getting the services you've come to expect. If this is what IGH offers now, forget it. The employees were kind and doing their jobs, so my frustration is with the ownership and corporation.

I had a restful stay at Holiday Inn Express Des Moines Ankeny, an IHG Hotel. The staff were friendly, the location was great, and the room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in Ankeny.

We loved our stay and will come back when we're in town. The manager who checked us in was so nice and accommodating, and our room was perfect and clean. A housekeeper brought extra towels while cleaning our floor, even though we hadn't asked. Later we saw a woman cleaning the lobby floor tiles more thoroughly than I've ever seen. What a nice, clean hotel!

The location was great, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast had a good selection. Our room was very clean, and we had a great stay.
