The staff at the desk seemed pleasant enough, but there wasn't much they could do beyond politely telling us what we couldn't have. The website said kitchen items were provided, yet when we asked, we were told the hotel had no plates, bowls, cutlery, cookware, or other kitchen supplies. There weren't even trash cans in the room. All the appliances technically worked, though they looked old and worn, and I didn't try the stove without any pots or pans. The fridge leaked onto the floor, and a loose, partly nailed kitchen floorboard had a bent nail that could have caught our feet. Another board was beginning to lift, possibly from the leak. Our room had a strong incense smell that lingered for days. The third-floor hallway smelled heavily of cigarettes and marijuana. We found a dirty washcloth in a kitchen cabinet and a dirty napkin between the dresser and wall. Garbage was often left in the elevator and outside; it did get picked up, but sometimes not for a couple of days, and the type of rubbish changed. The shower was stuck in tub mode and very hard to switch over. I was about to ask for help or a different room when I managed to wrench it into place. The whole place felt depressing. I expect someone will respond online saying this wasn't up to standards and that the team will hear about it, but I doubt anything gets passed along. They couldn't even give us a fork.

The front desk people were great, but the room felt kind of broken. There was trash under the bed, and although there was a kitchen and stove, there was nothing to cook with. No utensils or kitchen tools at all. There also wasn't a do not disturb sign for the door.

The room and hallways had a musty odor, and the stay was a real letdown. Extended Stay advertises continental breakfast and kitchenware on request, but neither was available when we were there. The front office staff were pleasant, though. Edit: that textbook PR reply was something else. I don't plan to come back. You advertised services that weren't offered, then didn't address what I actually complained about. Good luck.

We left that same night and never stayed in the room. After paying $140 for one night, we found the online photos didn't match what we got. The hall smelled of cigarette smoke and like cooked spaghetti left out for a week. In the room, the carpet hadn't been cleaned, there was a suspicious red stain by the bed, the curtain rod was broken, the remote didn't work, and the TV was badly outdated. I kept my shoes on. We even checked the bed for bugs as soon as we arrived because the place gave us such a bad impression. The front parking lot was full of people who looked questionable, probably drunk, and the lobby was the only part that seemed even somewhat clean. When we went out to an event, there were more men outside. I didn't like the way they edged toward my wife, and she felt so unsafe going to the car that she used me as a shield. We didn't bother asking for a refund because we assumed they'd do everything possible to refuse it. I wouldn't let my child stay here.
