Hampton Inn Ann Arbor-South

The rooms weren't anything special and the location wasn't a draw for us, but Hailey and Infinity at the front desk are why I'll come back to this Hampton Inn. Our group had a big request and lots of changes, and they handled all of it with a smile every time. Fantastic service. Well done, team!

The front desk sorted out our room problems right away. Service was great, breakfast was good, and there are lots of good restaurants nearby. The rooms are a bit dated.

For breakfast they had eggs, sausage, potatoes, scones, toast, cereal, and oatmeal, with a few restaurants close by as another option. The room was roomy, the carpet looked new, and the bed was comfortable. I only noticed a little mold in the bathroom. I had a great one-night stay and would definitely return. I'm not sure why this hotel gets bad reviews, since it seemed recently renovated to me.

I booked a room on Hampton Inn's website for the night of 10/29/25, but somehow selected a date two weeks later. At the hotel, I was told the original booking would be canceled and that I could book that night at a higher rate. I balked at the price difference and left believing the first booking had been canceled. The clerk never explained that the cancellation depended on me rebooking that night. A few days later, I called to check, and they refused to cancel the booking or refund my payment. In the past, Hampton Inn would have treated this as a simple mistake. Canceling two weeks ahead would have cost them nothing, and Hilton wouldn't have lost anything. Hampton Inn has changed for the worse. I won't return to Hampton Inn or any other Hilton property. Goodbye forever. The owner's apology below rings hollow. When I contacted J Roberts, he refused to fix the problem.
