Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ann Arbor - University South by IHG

I’ve come back to this property several times because it’s in a convenient spot, and the staff have been excellent. Zach at the front desk has been especially helpful during the afternoons and evenings. Breakfast is plentiful and served in a comfortable setting. I haven’t had anything to complain about.

The room was updated, with a really nice bathroom and shower, and the bed was great. The hallways and my room were very clean, and the whole place felt bright. Check-in was easy, the pool was clean, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Parking and a free continental breakfast are included, and the location suited the events I was attending. I was so happy with the stay I almost added another night. I’ll book again for sure. Also, the room keys are made of wood now, which I thought was neat. You might even accidentally tap your phone against one! 😆

We stopped here overnight on our drive to Chicago and would consider staying again when we make that trip next year. The hotel is just off I-94, so it was easy to get moving early and back onto the highway. Staff were professional and very good, and the breakfast buffet was better than at some other hotels, though more cereal and fruit choices for kids would help. Our room was spacious and clean, and the queen beds were comfortable for our family of four.

We finally gave up on sleeping and left around midnight. The fire alarm kept flashing every ten seconds, lighting up the whole room, so we had to cover our faces. The man at the front desk didn’t seem concerned when we told him. Needless to say, we won’t come back.
