Marcela at the front desk was delightful, friendly, and helpful, and the rest of the staff helped too. My room was clean and felt safe. The sofa and loveseat were pleather and not especially comfortable, though they did the job. Breakfast was sparse, just muffins and Nutrigrain bars, with no fruit or yogurt. There aren't stores within walking distance, but a few local restaurants are close by.
The room was spacious and clean, and customer service was great. But there's no food service in the hotel, and the complimentary breakfast is a joke: packaged muffins and cereal bars. For the price, the services don't match a luxury hotel, and it doesn't feel luxurious at all. The pool was closed during our stay. I heard it's been closed for a year. There's no other entertainment, so it was boring. It felt like renting a clean efficiency room, and the gym is only four feet wide, smaller than my bed.
Marcelo and his team were fantastic and helped us with everything. The room was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot water worked, and both the heating and AC were fine. It's a shame the pool wasn't available during our stay, as that would have made things 100% perfect. We had an amazing experience regardless and definitely plan to return to this hotel brand. Thanks so much, I recommend this place 100%!
The rates are hard to beat, the staff were mostly friendly and helpful, and the rooms stayed surprisingly quiet despite being near Palmetto Expressway and MIA. For a month-long stay, though, the problems added up. The room was clean and had a kitchenette, internet, and weekly cleaning, but the TV, cable, and internet kept cutting out. The AC leaked the whole time, even after staff tried to fix it, and had a strange corn silk smell that room deodorizers couldn't cover. Our keys also lost their magnetism two or three times a week. The pool has apparently been closed for years and may stay that way for a couple more. And the “complimentary” breakfast is just coffee, Nutri-Grain bars, and packaged muffins. It’s an affordable place for a longer stay, but you get what you pay for.
The room was clean, but the fitness area was underwhelming, and the outside of the building could use a wash. What really bothered me was the pool. I booked this three-month stay partly because the hotel advertised a pool and fitness area, yet the pool has been closed for over a year. A hotel this large should not leave it out of service for so long.
