Homewood Suites by Hilton Ann Arbor

The location is handy for sporting facilities and about a mile from campus. This is a new property with nicely designed rooms, pleasant staff, especially at the front desk, and a breakfast that stood out among Hilton properties with free breakfast. Smoked pulled chicken and tortillas were a nice touch. But our room hadn’t been cleaned properly when we arrived: food splatter was still on the wall above the couch, and there were hairs on the bathroom floor and beard hair around the faucets. That wasn’t acceptable. The rest of the hotel was good enough that I still gave it four stars; otherwise it would have been three.

The location, staff, hotel, and room style were all great. I loved how clean and modern everything was. The mattress and pillows, though, were the one problem, and they were awful. This was the most uncomfortable mattress we’ve had at a Hilton, and the pillows were terrible too. For that much money for one night at a Hilton, I expected a decent night’s sleep, and we didn’t get one. That’s why I gave it three stars.

It felt almost like having a little apartment, and the rooms are gorgeous. I really didn’t want to leave. The staff were fantastic too, and breakfast was good. I’d definitely stay again.

A good place to stay while visiting Ann Arbor. The rooms were clean and nice, and the hallways were quiet with no disruptive neighbors. There’s a full fridge, microwave, stove, and dishwasher in the room, so you have what you need for a longer study.
