Quality Inn & Suites Apex - Holly Springs

The reviews had led me to expect somewhere safe and clean, but this was terrible. There were signs inside and outside warning guests not to leave valuables in their cars, and the hotel sat behind another large building, hidden from the street. Although it was a no-smoking room and property, our room smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke and was dingy and dirty. We only stayed long enough to change for our event, then handed the keys to the front desk employee and drove home late that night because we felt safer doing that.

The front desk was courteous when we checked in. The room was clean, with a very comfortable king bed and pillows. There was a complimentary hot breakfast, but we left too early to enjoy it.

Good service at the front desk, clean rooms, and parking that fits large trucks. Really nice.

The inside was far more impressive than the outside suggests. The lobby's beautiful ceramic floors and cascading staircase left me in awe, and the parts of the property I saw looked newly renovated, with a much more thoughtful finish than the quick patchwork renovations I've seen at some Myrtle Beach places. Our room had wood-grain ceramic tile leading to new carpet, and large ceramic shower panels with luxury fixtures. Even though it was right across the hall from the elevator, the room seemed well insulated, and I never heard noise from the elevator or hallway. The staff were some of the nicest, most helpful people imaginable, so I'd give it 10 stars if I could. My son had a late baseball game in Apex, and we wanted a nice place at an affordable price. I was wary because it cost almost half as much as other places in the area, but after reading good reviews I booked on a whim and hoped for the best. I wasn't disappointed. There's nothing wrong with the outside, it just doesn't do the inside justice. I'll book here whenever we're nearby. If you're considering this property, book it!
