Holiday Inn Express Orlando - Apopka

The gym was tidy and had a treadmill and weights. Breakfast was fresh and decent, with everything kept clean and well stocked. The friendly worker was kind, too. I do wish there had been another protein choice besides sausage patties, but there was plenty to pick from, including yogurt, milk, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, and bagels. The hotel was clean and smelled nice, and we were happy with our stay.

We’ve stayed here three times, and after the last visit we’re going to look for another hotel. That night was so noisy until around 4 a.m. that I couldn’t sleep the first night. We wanted to cancel and spend the rest of the time at my house nearby, but my boyfriend had already paid, so we had to stay. We were also charged more than the fixed amount we expected. The pool has been a problem too. On one stay we couldn’t get in, getting out through the lock was a joke, and the water was freezing on our last visit. The gym looked big, but it was mostly mirrors with very little equipment. Housekeeping wasn’t daily, even though we expected it to be. It pretty much was on our first stay, but not consistently. The sink and shower pressure was poor on the upper floors, though it was better on the lower floors. On our last shower, the holder for the showerhead was broken, so most of the water came out of the lower part instead of the showerhead. My boyfriend loves coffee and asking for extra was always an issue. The front desk staff weren’t all that nice. The blonde European lady didn’t make eye contact, and some workers had an attitude when our booking didn’t show on their screen, which happened about twice. We’ve had enough. The other stays weren’t good either, and last time was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

My Dad and Step mom stayed at this hotel and said the staff and service were great. They found the place very clean and really liked it. They would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Shirin and the team got us a room at the last minute for the weekend, even though several hotels we called around Orlando had turned us down for early check-in. They were accommodating with our requests and needs, and Shirin went above and beyond to help. Check-in was smooth and easy, the staff were friendly, and our room was clean. We had such a good experience that I’d stay here again, even with the extra distance. The service and hospitality were outstanding. Highly recommend!
