Home Inn & Suites Orlando-Apopka

I arrived to a snappy, know-it-all desk clerk who charged me again for a room I’d paid for online three days earlier. When I tried to explain, she sharply said that wasn’t how it worked and ran the charge a second time. I showed her the receipt in my bank app and the Hotels.com confirmation, and she saw I was right. Her tone changed immediately after I pointed out how poor the customer service had been. This was the first hotel all week where I’d had this problem. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days for money that would have gone toward my vacation, and the charge could have been avoided if she’d listened. The room was incredibly low standard, too. Just disappointed overall. 4/12/25.

The room smelled incredibly bad, and I can’t even describe it. It wasn’t an animal smell. Don’t let the price draw you in, this place was absolutely nasty. They knock and walk in at the same time, which felt totally disrespectful.

The sheets had awful stains, maybe blood, urine, or feces. I also found what looked like urine on the toilet seat, so I cover it with toilet paper before sitting down. There were red spots on the floor and wall by the bed and nightstand, which I hope weren’t blood. A girl can hope. My first room had a strong mildew smell. In the second, there was hair and gross stuff in the sink drain where I brush my teeth and wash my face. The ceiling had spiderwebs and dust, too. Never staying here again!

I was worried after reading the bad reviews, since a friend had booked the room for me, but I was really impressed when I got there. The room was a great value, very clean, and newly remodeled. Service was great, and it was quiet and felt safe.
