Quality Inn Appleton West

The rooms need a renovation. I remember burns in the carpet, dated bathroom fixtures, and worn electrical sockets that wouldn't power my phone charger. Breakfast was missing some things, though the coffee was decent. I can't fault the service: I needed another room and they moved me to a single with a king bed. That room was cleaner, and I slept fine. Housekeeping and maintenance still need to do better.

We stayed here in October 2025, and the room was spotless, with clean sheets and a clean bathroom. We asked for a couple of things and were treated courteously and warmly. Before we arrived, I had a crisis that morning and was rude during my first phone call with the front desk. I called back to apologize, and the same desk lady was so lovely and accepting. Later that afternoon, the receptionist was very friendly. I think he was the owner. I'd been a little hesitant after reading reviews once I'd booked, but we were wonderfully surprised and will stay again.

I had to cancel and book somewhere else, twice as far from Green Bay. I booked this room for four nights, Nov 7-11, back in May. About a week before the trip, I checked their email and saw they'd changed it to Nov 7-10 without telling me. The Packers night game was Nov 10, so I assume that's a lucrative hotel night. I'd booked for $76 six months earlier. The hotel called it an overbooking mistake, but I don't believe that, since my reservation was made May 14. I tried calling them several times and got no answer. Choice Hotels kept me on the phone over an hour while I tried to find another room or a different hotel at the same rate, but they couldn't help. Don't stay here if this kind of problem would bother you.

The location is convenient, but the staff seemed blasé. When I told them about problems with the room, they just shrugged. Worst hotel I've ever been in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
