Wyndham Garden Lafayette

The staff were friendly, and the entrance had a nice modern, updated look, but the room itself was run down. Its floor AC unit looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, there was a broken cabinet door on the bathroom vanity, and the bathroom was tiny. The room also had a strange humid feeling. It was cheap and okay for one night, but I didn’t find the stay comfortable or impressive.

The water pressure was good, and the staff were great. But the place felt old and overpriced, and it wasn’t very clean. We found old candy on the bathroom floor and dirty towels in the cabinet. Our room had just one set of towels, while other guests had none. The air didn’t work, and I could hear people talking very easily. There was one working elevator. We had a fridge and a wet sink, but no microwave. I’d try a different hotel next time.

Kimberly made sure everything was ready for my late arrival. I’d called ahead, and she asked my name, confirmed the room would be waiting, and told me to drive safely. When I got there, she recognized me and checked me in quickly. She offered help with any room concerns and pointed me to places to eat since I hadn’t eaten yet. She treated the other arriving guests with the same courtesy. She was genuine and professional. I love my room, and I got the rest I needed and could prepare for my big day tomorrow.

Room 201 wasn’t acceptable for the price, and I left highly disappointed. There was heavy dust everywhere, hair and stains on the comforters, a musky smell, and carpets that felt sticky underfoot. The pool area, though, was clean and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful, and the staff overall were friendly.
