Suburban Extended Stay Hotel

We only stayed because every other hotel was full while we were in town for a graduation. We booked through hotels.com, and it didn't say this was an econo lodge. If we'd known, I would have driven another 50 miles to stay somewhere else. The room was filthy and moldy, smelled of old food and body odor, and the carpets were sticky with who knows what. Cigarette burns went through the blankets into the mattresses. The bathroom door wouldn't shut, and the main door had to be forced closed. Worst place I've ever stayed.

For the price, especially through the super. com app, this is a very good spot and probably the cheapest in town. It has a kitchenette with an electric stovetop, but no pots or pans, so it's kind of useless.

I went to check in, but this was by far the nastiest hotel I've been in despite traveling for work all the time. I attached pictures because I thought it couldn't really be that bad, but it was horrific, and even the photos don't capture how it smelled. My colleague and I were going to sleep in our vehicles instead of the room we'd paid for.

We were passing through and called in the evening to reserve a room. The receptionist said she couldn't rent to us because the hotel had an animal weight limit. My husband, a disabled veteran, explained that his service dog is trained for a specific task and that weight limits for service dogs are illegal. When he asked to speak to a manager, she hung up. We called again the next morning. The manager said service dogs were allowed and offered to talk to the receptionist after my husband said he was considering reporting this to the DOJ.
