The residents were quiet, and the room was clean. The shower had room for two. The bedding looked dingy, but was good enough to sleep in. The TV, fridge, and microwave all worked. It was affordable and met our needs.

We booked it last minute for 8-10-2024. The bathroom was the only decent part of the motel. The room smelled musty, the TV didn’t work, the carpet wasn’t very clean, and the beds weren’t great. I’d rather drive an extra 20 minutes than stay at the tropic motel again.

Both beds had bugs and stains when I checked them first thing. The whole room looked worn and dirty. They wouldn’t give me a refund, of course. I’ll report the bed bugs and wouldn’t recommend this business to anyone.

We found this little motel while taking my son to Port A for the weekend. The man who runs it was very nice to us, and the room was clean. The A/C kept it nice and cool, and the ocean was only a short drive away. The price was excellent, even for a room with two queen beds. We’ll definitely go back.

I wish I’d checked the reviews before we checked in. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. If you have a sensitive nose, this place smells bad, though my husband couldn’t smell anything. Update: We just bought some Febreze and candles. Hopefully that gets rid of the smell.
