We’ve stayed here at least ten times over the past 15 years, but the place has gone downhill and we won’t return. We were glad to leave. We had guests, and spent the first 45 minutes with management in our room trying to get both TVs working. The main one worked for about an hour, then we gave up. Around 8 pm I went to the desk for two more pillows. The staff member seemed surprised and unsure whether they had any. He brought two from behind the desk, where I could see a dirty mop and bucket. One felt like it was stuffed with a handful of cotton balls; the other had yellow stains. I asked him to get clean ones from a vacant room. It was empty, but when he opened the door it smelled like a college bar. I doubted the pillows were clean, though he said they were. It was ridiculous to have to push so hard for two pillows, especially with only about eight cars in the lot. Surely there was a clean empty room, at least one that didn’t smell like a brewery. There were a few ladybugs in our room, but not many. Dogs are allowed now, and the one two rooms away barked at night and in the morning. That was ridiculous. Breakfast was a joke if you want anything beyond carbohydrates: waffles, bread, cereal, and coffee, with no eggs, yogurt, or biscuits and gravy. It used to be better. Half the vending machine choices were unavailable. They advertise a pool and hot tub, but both were permanently closed, which felt like false advertising. I asked management for some kind of discount for all the problems and disappointments. They basically ignored me, and it didn’t seem worth pushing further.

Ladybugs and stink bugs were crawling all over the room, including on my bag and the walls. There were dead ladybugs beneath every nightstand and the air conditioner, so they clearly aren’t doing extermination or sealing things properly. At least I checked the mattress thoroughly and found no signs of bedbugs. I’m glad it was only those types of bugs, but unless you want to take some ladybugs or stink bugs home, I’d keep driving.

We’d just checked in and already had to switch rooms because the bathroom door wouldn’t latch or lock. I agree with the complaints about stains on the bedding and curtains and the room not being clean. Still, I don’t think complaining will really change anything. I hope breakfast is good and doesn’t upset our stomachs. We made an emergency trip for a final goodbye, so beggars can’t be choosers and all that. But I remember when staying in a hotel was actually pleasant and clean.

Stains everywhere, on the hallway and room carpets, the sheets, and the sofa. This is easily the grossest hotel I’ve stayed in. I can’t wait to check out. Yuck!

After driving for 11 hours, all I wanted was sleep. He said there was just 1 room left and quoted $89.90, so I took it because I was tired. Then I checked my bank account and saw a $100 charge. The room smelled of old, musty carpet and had stains everywhere. The bed was firm when I’d hoped for a soft one. For $100, I could have gone to the Hilton, where you get more than 4 pillows for a king-size bed, and they’re softer.
