Jackie at the front desk was consistently kind and helpful, and made things run smoothly without me needing to ask. Jose, the general manager, was warm, professional, and friendly. I could tell he cared. I stayed longer term, and the room's apartment feel made it easy to settle in. It was spacious, with a comfortable bed, two desks and office chairs for a simple workspace, and plenty of natural light. The kitchenette was basic but did what I needed. The building is older and some fixtures show it, but that fit the price. The rate was fair and the value made sense. It wasn't a luxury choice, but it delivered on what mattered to me: location, value, and good people. I'd come back.

The location was convenient, which is the main reason we picked this place, and the staff were kind and friendly. But the property needs an overhaul. We stayed one night and left early the next morning because I didn't feel comfortable. The room looked like it had been cleaned in a hurry. The floors were sticky, and though the bedding seemed clean, it was so worn that I used my own blankets and pillows. There wasn't even basic shampoo. Appliances had chipped or cosmetically cracked surfaces, and the whole room showed significant wear. With updates, this could be a much better stay.

First time at this extended stay, and I was really happy with it. The guests seemed in keeping with the Arcadia community, and everyone was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the service was great. Jackie was so friendly and jolly. I saw her throughout my two-night stay, and she always greeted me with a smile. I'd choose this place again over the other extended stays.

The noise from the 210 Freeway was the big surprise. My window was about 100 yards from it, and the traffic was so loud I can't really describe it. At exactly 5:45 every morning, the daily dinosaur battle started. How do you hand someone a room key for that highway with a straight face? I ended up running through the hall without breathing because the smell there was awful. Other reviews mention it, and with so many people apparently living here and cooking in their rooms, I can understand why the hallways stink. The building and my room need a remodel. It had the feel of somewhere last updated when flip phones were cool. My room looked clean from a standing position, but it wasn't. The common areas were dirty, the hall carpets felt like an abandoned building, and the front door stayed grimy all week. I went in and out twice a day and watched the garbage overflow. Every faucet had thick calcium buildup. Housekeeping, CLR and vinegar exist, and a little scrubbing goes a long way. Still, for a week at this price, I got what I paid for. The area is cute and convenient, the expectations fit the rate, check-in was nice, and the bed and modern linens were clean. I'm giving this Extended Stay in Arcadia five stars as honest feedback with a bit of snark, not sabotage. I didn't try breakfast. Come on, folks, I've read some of your reviews of the free breakfast, expectations, my friends. If you can sleep through the apocalypse or bring industrial earplugs, the value is decent. For the price and location I'd probably stay again, with earplugs and low expectations. Please clean the front door and common areas and get some CLR. Those are easy improvements.

The people were easily the best part of my 21-day stay. Sam, Lilliana, Jackie, and Jose were professional, supportive, and accommodating throughout, and I appreciated them a lot. Towels were ready whenever I dropped mine at the front desk and came back in the evening. I didn't use housekeeping during the stay or ask for fresh sheets. In the second week, someone knocked once, but I declined and asked only for a floor mat towel. I usually clean again even when a hotel says a room has been cleaned. The Wi-Fi worked well, with occasional outages that reconnected easily. I liked having kitchen amenities, a desk, and a separate dining table. I never turned on the TV, so I can't comment on its channels. I also didn't eat breakfast. I prefer fresh options, which I understand aren't offered during the 6:30 to 9 a.m. window, and I don't drink coffee or eat packaged food on the go. For what I paid, I can't complain, but I have a few suggestions. The room itself was fine, though the carpet wasn't comfortable for me. I wore socks or slippers the whole time and didn't feel okay rolling out my yoga mat on a floor where pets and stains had built up. Being Asian, I'm used to taking off shoes and not tracking outside dirt around the room. The bedroom was dimmer than I like, partly because a large tree blocked the sunlight, so it felt like a cocoon. I was there to rest and wasn't getting up early, so that was all right. There was enough light to get around, but I needed several lamps. The kitchen and dining area had good lighting. The parking lot needed more attention. There was dog feces by the back entrance, and someone had tracked it across the ground. Other guests left a lot of trash in the lot. People also went outside to smoke cigarettes and marijuana, which bothered me because I'm sensitive to smells. Once I looked out and saw a man and woman by a parking spot; he seemed to be smoking something shady and looked around as though checking if anyone saw him. I don't know what it was, and I didn't upload the video. The freeway noise was noticeable, so I wore earplugs. I'm sensitive to energy, and that was the only reason I didn't give five stars. The new corporate policy starting in March meant I couldn't stay over three weeks. I was told I had to check out for 48 hours before checking in again, which is a hassle. I do appreciate my 21-day stay at ESA, and the staff were THE BEST. Thank you for being professional and maintaining what you have to work with. If corporate invests a bit more in solid soundproof windows, I'd come back in a heartbeat.
