Red Roof Inn Ardmore

I was already feeling unwell after dental surgery and was taking medication for an infection. After being left without a room, I spent the night in my car in 30-degree weather, stayed awake another four hours, then drove nine hours the next day without sleep. I was worried only about reaching my next stop without falling asleep at the wheel, and couldn’t enjoy anything on the trip. I booked online through hotels.com, but the reservation apparently arrived just after midnight. The front desk couldn’t find it and had sold all the rooms before I got there. I contacted the corporate and customer complaint numbers. They took a report and confirmed the issue with the location. When I asked for some compensation, they said, “we didnt charge you” and “we filed a report.” That did nothing for me. Update: No one from Red Roof has ever contacted me. As I said before, they acted as if filing the complaint was a service, and said they’d use it to improve customer experiences in the future. None of that compensated me for a massive inconvenience. Then they replied here as though they would do something. On my initial call to “Guest Relations,” I was basically told they’d only file the complaint. They asked what was wrong but didn’t apologize, asked if there was anything else they could do, said a case would be filed, and ended the discussion. Case closed.

The only thing going for it is the location right off I-35. The rooms were filthy and smelled awful. The shower was disgusting, floors were dirty and clearly hadn’t been swept or mopped, light bulbs were missing, and there was no cable TV. The cable cord was hanging off a cheap cabinet. At around $46, I guess you get what you pay for, but nearby hotels were full. If I could give minus 200 stars, I would. Don’t even consider this dump.

I’ve stayed here many times over the past year to be close to elderly family and help them. I used to love the affordable kitchenettes, and this location has been improving over the year. You can see them making more improvements, but this isn’t Red Roof quality. I’m also fed up with having to wash sheets. When I disputed charges, the cops showed up and men on site bullied me. Don’t give them your card number, they’ll make unauthorized charges after checkout. I’ll leave this review up until they return the money they stole. Having read the other comments, I agree with them. They’re all true.

Stay far away. The bathroom was dirty and stained, the sheets definitely weren’t clean, and the room was disgusting. There were an insane number of dead and live roaches. If you do stay, bring roach spray and buy your own bedding.
