Check-in and check-out were both great, but I won’t be staying here again. I checked in at 2 a.m. and asked for a late checkout. Housekeeping knocked at 8, 9, 10, and 11 in the morning. I’m a truck driver, so why keep waking someone who has to drive 80,000 pounds down the road? I used to stay here often, but not anymore.

My husband, children, and I found this to be one of the cleanest and most comfortable hotels we’ve stayed in. The bed and pillows were really comfortable too. It’s in a perfect location, and this will be our new stop when we travel from Texas to Illinois.

The front desk staff were outstanding, professional, and helpful. The pool area was clean and orderly, though the hot tub’s air jets were broken and water only flowed through slowly. Inside, the older, tired hotel needs upgrades. Our room smelled of chemical spray, and the fridge had no freezer compartment, which I needed. For the price, I didn’t think it was worth it.

I’ve been here about a dozen times and have been satisfied on every visit. The updated rooms are clean, the staff are professional and courteous, and the hotel is quiet and feels safe. It’s handy for I30 but set far enough from the highway that road noise isn’t an issue. Breakfast is usually very good for a Holiday Inn.

A kind front desk and clean room made this a great overnight stop to break up our Chicago to Austin road trip. Breakfast was ready bright and early. The pancake batter could perhaps be better, but otherwise it was perfect for a night on the road. Thanks!
