Hyatt Place Arlington/Courthouse Plaza

Maria was especially thoughtful at breakfast and went out of her way to make sure I was fed and looked after. The breakfast itself was great, the staff managing it were extremely good, and the room was comfortable and nice. I had a great time.

I liked the spacious, clean room and the hotel’s quiet location. The front desk staff were super friendly, and on my first night they even showed me where the nearest convenience store was. The airport is close, and the metro is just 8 minutes away. There’s also a 24-hour gym and an oven on Level 1, and breakfast was decent. I stayed four nights at Hyatt Place Arlington/Courthouse Plaza. The kitchenette was useful, though there’s no kettle, and the only drinking water was at the gym. The bathtub was fine, but the top shower spray was really weak. Comfortable stay and a great location, with just a few small things to improve.

Things went well on my school trip until breakfast on the morning of the second night. I found what looked like bits of a dead rat in the food the hotel provided. I vomited into it right away. At first I thought it was just a mistake and couldn’t get worse. Then I returned to my room and found three used condoms in my bed, plus human waste smeared across the walls. I asked to switch rooms immediately. The cleaning lady, who was 80 years old, moved me to another room and apologized. 3/5.

The area is really nice, with stores like Whole food, Starbucks, and Pottery Barn nearby, along with great restaurants. The location is excellent. My room was pristine and spacious, and I appreciated having a kitchenette. The staff were polite, helpful, and smiling, and the customer service was really great. I’ll definitely come back.
