The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a decent range of choices. The room itself was nice, with working AC, which was a relief since the lobby and hallways were stifling and we were told the building AC was broken. But the TV didn’t work, and we couldn’t get hot water from either the sink or shower, no matter how long we waited. The bedding looked clean but smelled of body odor, maybe from too little detergent. I wanted to give five stars, but those problems got in the way. Still, it’s an okay place for a night.

The front desk seemed to have just one person covering both check-in and the bar, so getting help quickly was difficult. The location is decent, but the hotel and rooms feel overdue for updates. We were in room 205, which was fine until the shower leaked across the floor. One shower took every towel we had to clean up. I usually like Hyatt Places, but I’d look at another nearby Hyatt Place for a better stay.

We found a lot of live cockroaches in the room. The front desk response was, “well, this is texas.” They moved us to another room, but didn’t offer any refund, and between the late night and early start, we barely slept. The hotel is under a 30-minute walk from six flags, at&t, and globe life. It’d be useful to have microwaves in the rooms for leftovers kept in the fridge; we eventually found some in the breakfast area. I probably wouldn’t recommend staying here.

After a day at six flags, my husband, son and I stayed here for one night. The location worked really well, the room had plenty of space, and breakfast was good. We’ll book here again next time we’re in Arlington.

The staff got us into our room despite a couple of system glitches, and even walked us there, which was a nice touch. The room was clean, though the layout felt cramped in a few spots.
