The Sanford House Inn & Spa

My wife and I spent two days at the Inn for a late Valentine’s celebration and stayed in the Vivaldi room. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and looked out onto a peaceful courtyard. We also had an amazing dinner at Restaurant506 in the Sanford House. My in-laws live in Arlington and had never heard of this hidden gem, but they joined us and loved the seafood and steak selections. They plan to return often and tell their friends about dinner there. We’ll come back whenever we’re in the area.

We came for a game at AT&T stadium, and the location was great. There’s a shuttle for a small fee, and the staff were amazing. Our Brahms room was lovely and spacious. The spa is right across the street too. I’d highly recommend staying here.

It’s a pretty place for a girly lunch, and I loved the ambience. The food and watery martini were a different story. I ordered well-done 'poached eggs' for the Benedict and got hard-boiled eggs sitting there, which I didn’t like. I’ve ordered this all my life. The chicken salad was also bad, with a loose, yogurty dressing and tiny pea-sized bits of chicken that ate weirdly.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, the restaurant was fabulous and felt like a true gourmet experience, and the rooms were beautiful, quiet, and had lots of extras. The Sanford House Inn was a perfect spot for my out-of-state relatives to meet up with me in Arlington for an early Christmas gathering. We highly recommend it.
