That mac and cheese is still on my mind. We came in from Fort Worth looking for dinner, and Adobe Rose delivered. The dip sampler was a nice start, then I got a huge buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of gooey mac and cheese. It took a bit, but the menu says it's made from scratch, and it was worth waiting for. The drinks were well made, even if they were a splurge, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The place got busier as the evening went on, and there's a great patio option too. I’ll be dreaming about that mac and cheese.

12/19/25- The main courses took long enough that the staff's lack of acknowledgment of the wait stood out. The appetizers arrived in a normal amount of time, and service otherwise was decent. The plates were generously sized, with prices around $15-23, and the presentation was fine. I had the country fried chicken over garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was good, though the batter and gravy didn't have much flavor. The corn was decent. The others seemed to enjoy their meals. We had the country fried chicken, chicken on a biscuit with honey, steak, and another chicken dish whose name I can't remember. I might return to try that biscuit because I love biscuits. We started with deviled eggs, chips with chorizo and cheese sauce, and jalapeño poppers. The chorizo and cheese sauce was very thin, dripped a lot, and wasn't especially flavorful. At $10, it wasn't terrible, though. I'd heard about the Adobe for a while, and went with coworkers when invited. I like that the menu changes with the seasons, even if it is fairly small.

Rose was a real pleasure as our waitress. She was prompt, personable, and seemed to be a favorite with the other customers too. We went while on vacation in New Mexico, and the place was already pretty crowded. We ordered the trio of dips and chips along with a couple of flavored margaritas. The dips weren't the best, and the margaritas were too sweet. The bill felt high for what we ordered. I'm not making a big complaint, just saying the food and drinks didn't feel worth the total.

The food looked fancy and had so much flavor. I kept saying “wow” while I ate. I don't live in Artisa, but this has to be one of my favorite restaurants, and I'll come back next time I'm there.

I used to own two businesses and learned that sometimes giving a little can be worth it for keeping a customer. I spend close to a couple hundred dollars a week here, but I guess that doesn't count against a $3.19 double charge for a Coke. I come in a lot, probably at least twice every weekend and a couple more times during the week, and usually get a side salad with shrimp and a steak quesadilla. I like the place and the food, and I even got to meet one of the owners, Tim. But tonight I was charged twice for a Coke for the first time. If this were my business, I'd have let that $3.19 go to keep the customer.
