Rodeway Inn Artesia Cerritos

We only used the room to sleep while we explored LA, so I’d stay again, though the inn definitely feels like what you’d expect for under $100 a night. The area was quiet, the staff were polite and nice, the AC worked amazingly, and we couldn’t hear the neighbors. It’s right up the street from Knott’s Berry Farm. The room itself was very outdated. Beds were old and too broken in, the lighting was dim, and there were holes in the floors, doors, and walls. The dresser drawers were broken and dusty, the microwave didn’t spin, and shower pressure was poor. There was also a huge gap under the door that made it seem like someone could break in. New beds, brighter lights, dressers, fresh paint, and fixing that gap would make a big difference. With those updates, I’d give it 5/5.

The rate was good, but there were cats all over the property, and homeless people wandered around going through the trash late at night. The room water never got hot. Housekeeping cleaned every other day.

The bathroom had mold because the vent didn’t work, and there was stomping from the upstairs rooms all night no matter which room number you were assigned. They force you to leave after 21 days. HORRIBLE!

Brian recognized me as a diamond member and checked me in early without charging me. Room 203, 5/16/25 to 5/19/25, was immaculate and in the best condition of any Rodeway I’ve visited. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in town and recommend it to everyone I know. It was a great deal. Thank you, Brian!
