The digital key was especially handy, and you can share it with whoever you choose so they don’t need to pick up a separate key at the desk. The hotel also has a 24-hour gym, business center, laundry area, a pool with a hot tub, and a small market by reception. Breakfast costs extra, though there’s a good breakfast option available. We found the room larger than expected and larger than it looked in the photos, and the employees were pleasant to talk to and rent from. The building looks lovely as you enter, and the location worked well for us. For a reasonably priced stay with a lot of hotel amenities, I’d say it’s worth it.

Ariana at the front desk went out of her way to help, and that made this one of my best hotel stays. I don’t usually post reviews, but I wanted to recognize her. I had a wonderful time at the Hilton Garden Inn in Arvada and will definitely come back.

The room was clean, but the worn chair and throw pillow looked heavily used, and strings of fabric were coming loose all over the comforter. The mattress felt like a brick with a pad on top, and none of the USB outlets in the furniture worked. For what we paid, I expected more. Between local taxes, the room cost nearly $400 for me, my husband, and my dog, with a pet fee added on. We didn’t think it made sense to pay even more for a basic breakfast, so we ate two blocks away for half their price. It felt like most of the bill was for the location, making this mid-low quality at a mid-high price.

The pool and hot tub were clean and well looked after, and everyone we met was friendly. The hotel is in a handy spot, with Old Town Arvada and nearby shops and restaurants easy to reach on foot. Still, during our five-day stay the room was never cleaned. The privacy sign was on the door only on the first day, but no one came afterward either. The elevators to our floor stopped working after day one, and nobody offered us another floor. They did comp us one breakfast when I asked about the inconvenience. It included toast, bacon or sausage, eggs, some apples and maybe oatmeal. That could be enough, but at $18-30 per person I’d have been very disappointed if that were the full buffet. Several nearby restaurants serve an actual meal for less. The Mountain View isn’t much of a view, so I wouldn’t pay even the extra $5 a night for that upgrade.
