We stayed two nights with our two dogs, and the thoughtful little touches made it such an easy place to relax as a family. There’s free coffee and tea in the lobby from 5:30 am, plus a microwave, dog treats and bags. The gym has a water bottle refill station, and the attached parking garage does too. The staff were so friendly, even on Christmas morning, and seemed happy to be there. The shared spaces were a big part of why I loved it: the second floor has comfy seating, a fireplace, a nice bar and a pool table. We also enjoyed the heated balcony lounge in late December and the third floor patio, with couches, mountain views and an outdoor fireplace. Our room had a unique layout, and I liked the shower products. The gym was really nice for a hotel, too. It’s extremely dog friendly. We loved this place.

The mountain views from the room and outdoor area are incredible. Outside, there are comfy couches and chairs where you can watch the sunset, lounge by the pool, or sit near the fire pit. Being right downtown also makes it easy to walk to lots of great restaurants. The rooms are small, but work well for a short stay. Ours had a mini fridge, microwave, a good desk and a comfortable bed. This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at.

The dog perks were what caught my attention, and it’s nice that the place welcomes furry travelers along with people here for work. The hotel has a hip, modern feel, with rooms and suites and even pool cabana options. At $165 a night, it struck me as a sensible way to get some style without spending a fortune. Aloft Asheville Downtown feels like a cool art installation that happens to have a bed. It’s a five-star wonder in my book, punching above its weight. More than just somewhere to sleep, it shows what a three-star place can do when it puts real heart into the experience.

We had a great stay, and our fur baby loved wandering around and meeting people. The hotel is dog-friendly and centrally located in Asheville. The service team was outstanding: I left my work phone behind after checkout, and Bethany went out of her way to help get it back to me quickly. We’ll book Aloft again next time we’re in town.

I keep coming back here when I visit Asheville. The rooms are clean and modern, the staff are friendly, and the mountain views are great. The downtown location works really well, too. When I’ve had a minor issue, property manager Dex has taken care of it right away.
