The house has a historic feel, but the bed was very comfortable, and the shower felt luxe with great water pressure. I had an amazing stay at Blind Tiger and will recommend it to friends. The staff were kind and welcoming, and guests could help themselves to snacks, drinks, games, books, fresh pastries, and working fireplaces. The accommodations felt unique and cozy, and this is easily one of my favorite places to stay in Asheville. You can hear other guests walking around and using the stairs, so keep that in mind if noise bothers you. It didn’t bother me, and everyone else was polite.
We stayed one night in the Albers room on the top floor of the main house. It was artistically decorated and had a beautiful bathroom with a walk-in shower. The property is within walking distance of downtown and has the feel of a bed and breakfast, with plenty of parking and snacks, juices, sodas, and continental breakfast included. There are no TVs in the rooms or common areas. That didn’t bother us since we only spent a little time in our room and used our phones and tablets. The WiFi worked great. We’d recommend it and stay again.
We stayed in the spacious Eden room, separate from the main house, so it felt especially private. The walk-in shower was great, and the textured grip railings showed attention to detail. Blind Tiger Asheville is close to downtown and other attractions, yet still feels tucked away enough to be your own space. We didn’t see any staff in person, so service gets 4/5, but they checked in by text and were attentive and helpful when I had concerns. I liked the screen-free feel too, and the evenings felt more intimate. I’d definitely come back!
Once we got settled, the room at Blind Tiger Asheville felt peaceful, stylish, clean, and incredibly cozy. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and lovely, and we slept so well after six hours of traffic and construction. The historic property has lots of character, and the staff member who checked us in was kind and welcoming. We arrived a little after 7 pm, tired and hungry, and the parking signs were hard to spot in the dark. We hadn’t seen the arrival instructions before our drive because they were emailed only a few hours beforehand while we were on the road. After checking in, we had to walk back to the car, up a hill, along a stone path, then up two flights of stairs to our room. My husband has a knee issue, so hauling luggage that far uphill in the dark would have been difficult. Thankfully, we only had small backpacks. The house was quiet, the other guests were already tucked in, and everything felt warm and restful once we got inside. This is a lovely historic place with plenty of character. Be aware of the parking, stairs, and arrival setup if late check-ins or mobility could be a concern.
We had a quirky, unique week-long honeymoon at this charming boutique hotel. The grab-and-go breakfast choices were tasty and healthy, and our room was clean and in good condition. The staff were really nice and always ready with recommendations. There are restaurants nearby, and downtown is about a 20-minute walk. I’d recommend it to anyone!
