The valet parking seemed intimidating at first, but it turned out to be quick and easy, with great service. I used my choice hotels points for two nights over Christmas while visiting my daughter, and had a wonderful vacation and a great view. The staff were great, and breakfast at hemingways was delicious. I had a cappuccino and told the servers I wasn't in a hurry that morning, since they seemed a little stressed about a wait. At check-in I also got a neat gift bag for choice diamond status. I don't usually fuss over that sort of thing, but it was a nice touch and a cool surprise.

We felt safe walking around and the location was close to all the shopping we wanted. Every staff member, valets included, was so nice, and our room was clean. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were very squishy. The shower looked worn, with chips all over, and its single glass panel let cold air in. Not a dealbreaker, just something I noticed. Someone mentioned there weren't any good TV channels, but there's a strange setup: the first channel shows a guide, then you have to skip about ten channels to get to the guide with the good ones. We'll stay here again. I do wish there were a pool.

The downtown location was great, with most restaurants only about a five minute walk away. Our room was clean and worked perfectly for three adults and a toddler, with two queen beds. I appreciated having a microwave to heat up baby food easily. The valet staff were friendly and gave us information about charging our EV. We also enjoyed the complimentary champagne, and all the staff were nice.

I chose this hotel for family who came from out of town and out of state for a surprise party for my husband. They all had mountain views, and appreciated the valet parking and breakfast included each morning. It was convenient for shopping at the Grove Arcade, walking to the drum circle, and visiting Woolworth's art gallery. The weather was lovely for mid November. I'm glad I picked it. The event planner was very helpful, and the reception desk and restaurant staff were so nice.

January 2026... We've still got a few days left, but I'm giving it five stars already. The view at sunset from our excellent 12th floor room has been spectacular. It was impeccably clean at check-in and has been very quiet during our midweek stay. The beds are comfortable, the HVAC is quiet, WiFi is adequate, and the front desk service has been great. My only complaint is the TV, which works fine but has almost no channels worth watching. For what we're paying, couldn't they at least get a basic cable package?
