We were traveling as a family with our two little girls, and the staff made the visit wonderful. Ella checked us in, Debbi was at the front desk in the morning, and Maria was looking after the breakfast area. All were kind, helpful, and went out of their way to make things good for us. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and our room's layout worked well, with three chairs, a desk, a good sized fridge, and a microwave. It's attached to a Mexican restaurant and directly across from the airport. We thought breakfast was fantastic, our favorite complimentary hotel breakfast in years of traveling as a family. There were beans we hadn't seen at a hotel breakfast before, and they were so good. We also had potatoes, waffles we made ourselves, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea, and juice. A few of us went back for seconds. We highly recommend the hotel.

The Clarion Asheville airport has been around for decades, but it was spotless, and the breakfast bar was as good as at any four star hotel. I was stuck there for three stressful days during the February 1 snowstorm, and the staff stayed cheerful and helpful throughout. When Marlon was told the motel shuttle to the airport wasn't running, he drove me and several other passengers in his own truck, at his own expense. He's a front desk attendant about 6/10 of a mile from the airport and had been there off and on since Friday night. That's above and beyond. The whole team did everything they could to take care of their customers and tenants, and I'll certainly do something nice for him. The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and the price was hard to beat.
This is the best conference center our company has rented in more than 15 years. The team is eager to make the experience great, attentive to our needs, and friendly whenever we ask for anything. Jenni has a huge heart and is always there to make sure things get handled. Trisha is one of the best managers I've met, both in how she works with me and in how closely her staff are connected to giving guests a great experience. We're looking forward to booking here again and again. Thanks for making us feel at home!
I decided to give this hotel another chance after a bad front desk experience last year. The owner contacted me kindly and tried to make things right, so I had removed my earlier review. This time I used reward points and the stay was free, but I encountered the same rude, condescending treatment, even though the front desk staff were different. Before reserving, I called to ask whether I could pay the security deposit in cash. I explained I was a 60 year old woman traveling alone, with no pets, a non smoker, and a rewards member. The person on the phone said the deposit could be waived under those circumstances, so I booked. At check in, I was told that wasn't possible under any circumstances. The manager came out and spoke just as condescendingly. She insisted I couldn't have spoken with her front desk staff and probably had talked to a Choice reservationist. We argued about that for several minutes. I mentioned that I hadn't paid a security deposit on my last stay and that the problems from that visit had eventually gone to the owner. The manager looked things up and said it was because I was local. I told her I wasn't. She asked for my ID again, as if I were lying about that too, then saw that I'd changed my address on my Choice rewards account and her attitude started to change. I've been a travel RN for years and know how key cards work, but when mine failed she asked whether she should come with me to the room. Her approach made me feel treated like a liar and an idiot by people whose jobs customers pay for. I don't know what training you need to work this front desk or manage this old hotel, but customer service is lacking. The owner seems engaged with the business and needs to hire staff who understand it. I'll never return.
The day and night staff were incredibly supportive and went above and beyond with every request I had. I've never had a whole group of people be so helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay or for your organization's conference needs.
