We rented all three cabins so our immediate families could stay with us, and everyone was extremely sweet and accommodating. My husband and I got married here on February 2, 2024, and it was the best day ever. We had an elopement glacier experience with outbound helicopters, and it was just as amazing. 10/10.

We've been to Palmer a few times, and Alaska Backcountry Cottages is easily the best place we've stayed. The staff were attentive and friendly, and even took time to stack a few groceries for us. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed in the forget-me-not cottage for two nights. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything stocked, and the blinds completely blocked the light at every window, which matters during Alaska summers. The mountain view was beautiful too. We squeezed in some nearby activities: a four-hour ATV tour that was a blast, then a 2.5-hour helicopter ride with a glacier landing the next day. Both attractions gave a 10% discount for staying at the cottages. Less than an hour from Anchorage, it was a great way to wind down after our cruise and fit in a couple more fun Alaska activities.

Austin was fantastic as our guide for the all-day tour, and they took care of everything. The weather wasn't the best, but Alaska's beauty still came through. We also stayed in their cabins and loved them, they had thought of everything. Can't recommend this place enough!

I got a surprise visitor on my last day, a huge bull moose that came out of the woods behind the cottage. It caught me off guard, but I managed to take a short video and a few photos. I'll remember it forever. The porch also had an amazing view of the mountains. The cottage was lovely and had everything I needed. I had flown in from Minnesota, and this was my first trip to Alaska. Linda was great and kept me informed throughout. I'd definitely stay again if I return to Alaska.
