Holiday Inn & Suites-Asheville-Biltmore Vlg Area

The suite was beyond what we expected: two king bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a pleasant living area with a pretty view. Just bring your own dishes and utensils, since the kitchen doesn't have any. Jonathan made us feel at home right when we arrived, and my requested preferences were already on file. Andrea at the front desk was extremely helpful too. The hotel has a heated indoor pool and hot tub, plus an on-site restaurant that serves breakfast, which isn't included. It's on the main road, but the hotel was quiet and comfortable. The location made it easy to get to pretty much everything in Asheville, the nearby towns, and the gorgeous mountains. We came from Florida for a mountain getaway and chose it because we've had good experiences with IHG, especially Holiday Inn. This stay lived up to that, and we'll be back.

The shower pressure could have been better, but I'd happily stay here again. The pool was great too, and the hot tub was actually hot, almost too hot, if that's possible. The pool felt just right for kids who aren't bothered by cold water. The restaurant food was delicious at breakfast and dinner, and our server was wonderful, though I wish I could remember her name. The rooms were clean and a good size, everything worked, and the beds were comfy. I was especially impressed by all the outlets, enough for four people sharing a room, and by the furniture, which gave everything a place instead of leaving it on the floor. That's a big plus for a mom of three. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Stacey, who helped me send an important fax when we found the business center couldn't do it. We really enjoyed our visit.

The room was otherwise perfectly clean, and I had no other complaints. I only spotted a little mold on the shower light on my last night, so I hadn't had a chance to mention it sooner. Breakfast wasn't part of the stay, unlike at some competing hotels. Still, the place was clean, in a great area, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. When a winter storm closed everything else, their restaurant and bar stayed open.

The complimentary breakfast was lackluster, with few choices and most of the food poorly cooked. Everything else more than made up for it, though: great pool and hot tub, good rooms and staff, and decent parking. There's a Starbucks right next door for a quality coffee.
