The Applewood Manor

We loved the quiet, comfortable cottage with our fur baby. Breakfast was delicious and served on the porch while she ran around in the fenced area. Robin and the team took extra care with food allergies, and even surprised my husband with chocolates for his birthday. Fresh-cut flowers, dog bowls and blankets, and the craft beer selection were lovely touches. The staff were attentive, welcoming and amazing, and the grounds, main home and cottage are beautiful. The location was convenient for our outings, and the neighborhood was great for walks. We’ll definitely come back and have already recommended Applewood Manor to others. It’s a beautiful little slice of heaven.

We came for my fiancé’s birthday weekend and stayed in the York Imperial. It was spacious and warm in the cold winter weather, and the fireplace made it feel cozy and romantic. Stephen, Robin and Rain arranged chilled champagne as a special gift for him, along with a friendly card and delicious chocolates. Robin’s breakfasts were amazing, and every menu she put together was a joy. Such a welcoming place for a getaway. We’ll be back, and highly recommend Applewood Manner for a quiet break in a wonderfully convenient spot.

The inn’s location is stellar, close to everything, while the grounds feel private and connected to nature. We enjoyed chatting with Robin about the artwork around the house, and the whole experience felt focused on guests. If we needed anything, our hosts were just a quick text away. The Macintosh Suite was lovely and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful details: a lighted makeup mirror, room for toiletries in the bathroom, a hair dryer with concentrator and diffuser attachments, blackout curtains, and separate climate control. The small, high-quality TV was unobtrusive, and the Bluetooth speaker let us choose our own mood music. Coffee service and chocolate chip cookies were welcome, and we used the propane fire pits out back. Rain greeted us when we arrived, and Chandler prepared our last breakfast. Specialty diets were cheerfully accommodated for us as vegetarians. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Applewood Manor, in a beautiful home and area.

The breakfasts were stunning, and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Each room has its own character, and the place feels warm, stylish and unique. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We came to Applewood Manor for a business trip and to celebrate an important milestone, and our group couldn’t have chosen a better place. I also really enjoyed a morning conversation with the caring, smart and interesting owners about life, business and travel. I’ll definitely be back.
