The Restoration Asheville

We only wish we’d had a few more days here. The complimentary wine and cheese hour was a lovely extra, and the room was comfortable and impeccably clean. The design is one of a kind, with every detail considered. Staff were extremely professional. What a unique hotel.

The hotel shuttle took us to a bar a few miles away, and when I texted for a ride back, they came right away. We also walked to several amazing restaurants nearby. Inside, the room was spacious and elegant, with comfortable spots to sit and relax throughout the hotel. There’s a big bar in the main restaurant and another one with games in the basement. Each morning, a breakfast gift basket at our door was a nice touch. Friendly staff greeted us as soon as we pulled up, and the hotel looked great. This was one of my best hotel stays. I’m not sure I’ll return to the city since there isn’t much entertainment for me personally, but if I do, I’ll stay here again.

The different spaces around the property were fun to explore. There’s a cozy lobby seating area and a small service bar with complimentary happy hour from 5-6. The bright on-site restaurant has floor-to-ceiling glass that opens onto a lovely patio, while upstairs the rooftop bar offers light bites and great views. Downstairs, the lively bar has lots of games, including a two-lane bowling alley. Our room was inviting, with a spacious bathroom and a beautiful mountain view. The in-room light breakfast basket was a thoughtful touch. It’s an easy walk to shops and restaurants, and the hotel combines comfort with style throughout. Gorgeous spot in the heart of downtown Asheville. We loved the stay and this is our favorite of the many good hotel choices in Asheville.

Neil and Matt, the valets, were the first and last people we dealt with at the hotel, and both were so kind and helpful. Matt picked us up after dinner with the complimentary shuttle. During freezing weather, they took great care of my car through the ice storm. Neil even walked our dog one cold morning and helped with our bags. The service really stood out. The Draftsman in the basement was a highlight, with free games and fun bowling that made for a memorable night, especially since much of the city was closed. We also looked forward to the daily complimentary wine and charcuterie happy hour. On a snowy day when much of Asheville was shut, the lobby was a cozy place to play Scrabble. Will at the main restaurant was kind and great, and one day they brought breakfast to our room after a long night at The Draftsman. Everyone we met was friendly, genuine, thoughtful, and accommodating. The hotel has great style and is very instagrammable. I only wish there were a ladder in the lobby library for a proper Beauty and the Beast fantasy moment. Take time to browse the vintage titles, there are some gems. We stayed five nights at The Restoration Asheville and felt cared for the whole time. This place came close to perfect and made us feel valued. We’d absolutely stay again.
