TownePlace Suites by Marriott Asheville West

The biggest limitation is getting around without a car. There’s no sidewalk across the bridge, so even the nearby farmer’s market isn’t reachable on foot. The bus stop across the street is just in the grass beside a very busy road, which doesn’t feel safe for waiting. By car, the location works well for the highway, Enka work trips, and hikes out of town; grocery stores and restaurants are 5-10 minutes away. Some one-bedroom units have ovens, which is really helpful for a long stay. We stayed for 2.5 weeks and booked another 2.5-week stay for spring. It’s a newer, nice, clean hotel with excellent staff all around, especially manager Erica. The pool was clean and comfortably warm, and the gym has what you need. The fire pit area overlooks the parking lot, but it’s pleasant, with comfortable seating, two well-kept grills, and three tables and chairs for eating or relaxing.

The staff work well together and speak highly of each other, and Andrew, the sales contact, was phenomenal: kind, accommodating, hospitable, and always willing to go further. The lobby, pool, patio and grill, and rooms were all clean, well kept, and very nice. Rooms have a full kitchen with a two-burner cooktop. Pricing was good, and the hotel is conveniently close to the highway.

The breakfast stood out: fresh, well prepared, and much better than the usual hotel breakfast. Staff were excellent, and the spotless, comfortable rooms and high standard of cleanliness made the whole stay enjoyable. My visit to TownePlace Suites Asheville West in June 2025 was fantastic from beginning to end. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Asheville. A well-earned five stars.

Caitlin and Erica were wonderful, and the whole hotel was so clean. They both went the extra mile. Breakfast had already ended, but Caitlin opened the case so our friend could get a yogurt. The staff deserve a raise for how great they are. I highly recommend the hotel and would gladly stay again.
