Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins

We had a fantastic work retreat at Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins, with everyone staying in their own A-Frame Cabin. The cabins were cozy, and we liked having no TV to distract us. There was a record player and vinyl instead, which felt like a nice touch. The store was handy for coffee and other little things, and the conference room was comfortable. In the evenings we could unwind around the outdoor fire pit. Staff were incredibly gracious and welcoming, and the retreat gave us time for team building too. Highly recommend!!

Stayed here twice, once in a pet-friendly room and once in a no-pet room. Both were spotless and fresh. The standalone A-frames are adorable, with balconies facing a riverside park, and the rooms have plenty of space, coffee makers, mini-fridges, and cool album collections. It's convenient for getting around the area, while being away from downtown and its much higher rental prices. The common building, the “canteen,” is a fun spot to pick up essentials or Wrong Way schwag.

We had a lovely team retreat here, with each of us in our own cabin. They're comfortable and cozy, and seem well suited to one person, a couple, or maybe a family of three, with a queen bed and a small couch. The staff and owners were so nice, and the customer service was great. I felt welcome. There are thoughtful extras like a fridge, white noise machine, record player, and extra blankets. We spent a few nights around the fire pit, which is a beautiful outdoor space. It's a good choice if you want to unplug a little without being far from Asheville restaurants and other places.

The river setting is beautiful and peaceful, with convenient access to Asheville and the nearby mountains. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and well cared for, and the staff made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay at Wrong Way River Lodge and Cabins, and it was a great place to relax and unplug. We'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Asheville area.
