We had a lovely Fourth of July weekend here. The owners welcomed us when we arrived and filled us in on things to do nearby. Our room was spacious and nice, and it’s about a 10 minute walk to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and downtown. For the comfort and price, I’d come back.

The garden out back is gorgeous, with a circular seating spot, a covered porch with a picnic table, and an outdoor pool. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful with theater information, while still giving us space. My room was roomy and spotless, with tasteful antique furnishings, a comfortable bed, and an updated, well-kept bathroom. The shared kitchen had a Keurig, fridge, microwave, and sink. I liked not having a noisy refrigerator in my room. Arden Forest Inn is about a 15 minute walk from the theaters, close enough to get there easily but quiet enough to feel like a retreat. I’m looking forward to staying at Arden Forest Inn whenever I visit Ashland.

The property and rooms were lovely, and breakfast in the morning was great. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and wonderful to talk with. They suggested some great dinner spots and even booked us a table at one in town. I would’ve happily stayed longer to keep chatting, but I had to drive home and return the rental car. I’d highly recommend this bed and breakfast for the innkeepers and the property.

Such a charming little spot in a lovely town. The hosts made us feel welcome, and the rooms and decor are tasteful without feeling pretentious. The baby deer in the photo fits the place’s vibe.

We visited in 2018, and I still think about the stay, even now in 2021. Ashland felt magical, and Arden Forest Inn made the trip even more special. The innkeepers were lovely, and the communal breakfast was wonderful, both the food and the conversation. I can’t wait for things to open up more so we can come back.
