Cheney House B&B

We came away feeling rested after a much-needed break from work. The hosts were helpful with ideas for getting outside, and we spent time hiking and kayaking. We visited in Fall, though they also mentioned winter options like skiing and snowshoeing. For food, we loved hearing Charlotte explain where each breakfast item came from, all grown on their land or nearby. The BnB is quaint, with cozy, well-equipped rooms, and the owner clearly puts care into her cooking. There are several places to eat around here, too. One fun stop was lunch in Sandwich, only a short drive away.

Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with a different homemade farm-to-table meal featuring local ingredients. The food was delicious and felt like an authentic taste of New England, and Charlotte's care for each dish really came through. The house is charming, well kept, and balances historic character with modern comforts. Our spotless, cozy room had thoughtful touches, from the soft linens to the amenities. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. Charlotte and Peter were attentive, and Charlotte shared useful local tips and was available when we needed anything. Cheney House Bed and Breakfast is in a great spot for nature and nearby attractions, and it made for a peaceful getaway in beautiful New Hampshire. We'd happily return and recommend Cheney House to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming stay.

The rooms were super comfortable, with an old-timey feel, and there was space for our trailers. The place is motorcycle friendly as long as you’re respectful of the neighbors. Charlotte knows the area well and has plenty of stories to share over breakfast. Her cooking is a real strength, with fresh, organic, homemade food using local ingredients. We were greeted each day by a friendly smile and a joyful pupper, with chickens roosting nearby each morning. The service and accommodation were top notch, and I can’t recommend this cozy home enough. There are good lunch spots and convenience stores close by, plus a beautiful route to the Weirs strip about 25 minutes away. My group and I will be back for future bike weeks.

We spent the weekend hiking, kayaking, and trying local food, then came back to warm hospitality from the family who runs the place. Breakfast was especially good, made with fresh organic ingredients from their garden and nearby farms. They made us feel like part of the family, and this getaway was one we'll remember. We highly recommend it and will book another stay.
