Sleep Inn Long Island City - Manhattan View

The staff were really nice, and the AC and water pressure were great. I felt safe staying here as a woman on my own with two 17-year-old girls. Breakfast was decent, too. Getting to the subway is easy, and there’s a grocery store just a few steps from the front door, so we stocked the room fridge with snacks and drinks. I’d have rated it five stars if we hadn’t needed to keep asking for enough bath linens.

The F train is just a block away, which made getting around easy. We arrived around 11 a.m. and were able to check in before the official 3 p.m. time. Our room was on a higher floor with a nice city view, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. The neighborhood isn’t the best, but it felt manageable as long as you weren’t out at odd hours. My family and I enjoyed our stay, and I’d choose this place again if I return to NYC.

The staff were especially courteous and helpful, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. We also had a nice lobby and free breakfast. Parking in the garage felt safe, and early check-in or late checkout was available when possible. The price was super affordable, too. The nearest subway is under a five-minute walk, and the F line took us straight to Manhattan. Rockefeller Plaza was about 15 minutes away. I’ll stay here on future NYC trips.

We had a spectacular view from our room, and the staff were friendly and quick with cleaning. Breakfast was ordinary, neither good nor bad. The location is a mixed bag: it’s a short walk to the subway, but the hotel is almost right beside some projects, in fact the largest housing complex in the United States. That felt a little daunting.
