The owner and staff were extremely accommodating. We used the public space often, and the staff rearranged it for us on nearly every day. The lobby was a great place for our group of 20 visiting Oregon Shakespeare Festival to gather, as was the premium bunk room. It was a fun, older hotel with cool decor and named rooms, and it was within walking distance of OSF, the park, and restaurants. The shared bathrooms and limited showers meant leaving our rooms to use them, but that worked fine even with our large group. We coordinated shower times, which seemed to go well. I trust the other guests felt the same.

During our 2024 PCT thru-hike, we stayed at The Columbia Hotel and felt so well looked after. The accommodations were just right, and the staff seemed genuinely excited to support us. At check-in they celebrated us with a free drink from the mini kegerator. They also had robes for us to relax in, which made the stay feel luxurious. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

The Columbia Hotel has an atmosphere from a wilder, weirder time, before hotels became so sterile, corporate, and bland. The decor and art are super cool, and the staff are caring, accommodating, and fun. Saturday evening, the water wasn't hot for a while. The free coffee is free, sure, but you'd do better heading south to a great local coffee shop like Bloomsbury and getting a good cup with the money you saved by staying at the Columbia Hotel.

We had a great stay and would come back. The rooms were clean, the staff was kind, and everything in Ashland was an easy walk away. The Columbia is a welcome change if you're tired of mid-century modern hotels that only seem to differ in their ugly carpet patterns. It's stylish and fun, with amazing artwork throughout, plus socials and concerts.

I'd lived in Ashland for years without ever going inside the Columbia, and I was surprised by how cool it is. The place feels like an art museum, mixing modern touches with old details. The radiators date to 1835. We had a comfortable bed and a really good experience.
