I’m glad I read the earlier reviews before booking a room for my husband. He works in the electric industry and needs a trouble-free stay with relaxing amenities. From one consumer to another, thanks for the reviews. They made my decision easier. I’m basing this on my phone call to the hotel and the rudeness of whoever answered, as well as previous customers’ comments. It sounds like the hotel makes excuses for complaints instead of fixing anything. I was taken aback by the explanation about uncleaned rooms and linens, when you said the linens had been stolen. Offering excuses like that won’t keep customers, and corporate should hear about these practices. Shame on you.

I had to cancel my three-night booking for health reasons. The hotel directed me to Expedia, but although they tried, they said the hotel refused to issue any refund. I was charged for all three nights. The service felt cold and there was no empathy. Be careful before booking. This is about how people are treated as much as policy. If you’ve been sick and had to cancel a trip, you know how stressful it can be. A little understanding would have made all the difference.

We scheduled three nights while working in the oil field. On the second night, we came back after a full day’s work to find the beds hadn’t been changed and the mattress sheet had been put on inside out. The linens weren’t replaced, and the next morning there was no complimentary breakfast. After another long day, our keys didn’t work. Management blamed us for staining the washcloths we’d reused because housekeeping hadn’t done our room, and accused us of stealing towels we’d used two nights in a row. They also kept the money for the third night and our $100 deposit. I’d tell everyone to stay far away. Their comments call me a thief so they can keep over $238 for a couple of towels I never stole. Who’s the real thief? Stay away.

We were here for the Healing Appalachia festival, and the hotel was the only bummer of the weekend. It’s dated and dirty. My wife wouldn’t even sleep under the covers, and the lobby smelled so bad when we arrived that I didn’t bother checking out breakfast. There were cigarette burns on the counter and rug, and what looked like signs of illicit drug use on the toilet lid. The photos show stained sheets and a gross tub. Avoid this place at all costs.
