Lovely views of Aspen in spring, especially looking south from the lodge. If you're nearby, take a look!

The ride up the gondola has lovely scenery and is accessible and pet-friendly, so it works for families and all sorts of visitors. You do need a ticket, and parking signs weren't clear. We parked on the street and paid by the hour. There was plenty to do at the top with family activities and a food court. Food service stops at 3 PM, though drinks and snacks are still available afterward. Outside, you can sit at tables or lounge chairs on a roomy deck and take in the views.

It takes about 15 minutes each way to ride the Silver Queen gondola from downtown Aspen up to the Sundeck. Such a fun, beautiful trip, and one of Aspen's gems. Everyone should experience it.

So much to enjoy at the top of Aspen Mountain, from hiking and family games to a bar, food, and bathrooms. The ride up was incredible. A must-do on an Aspen visit, especially in fall!

We visited in August. It was a little hard to find parking, but the gondola ride was lovely. At the top, there was a really good restaurant with great views. Lunch came to about $25 each.
