You can walk to everything, including the gondola and bars. It went beyond what I expected. Just keep in mind there's no elevator, so you'll need to manage a flight or two of stairs. -Steve, Cincinnati…

The apartment we had was cozy and comfortable, though a bit dated, with worn seats and the like. It was serviced every day. Since the units are privately owned and Frias manages them, how modern yours is seems to come down to luck. The location is very handy for the Aspen ski slopes, and the buses to the other mountains are a short walk away. I'd give it four stars if the front desk had been better. They seemed lax and pretty incompetent, with no real idea how to handle front desk duties.

It's a darling complex, close to the lifts and an easy short walk to the town center. I'd definitely pay extra for a deluxe condo or room, it seems worth it. After-hours check-in was easy, too.
