Little Cloud by Rove 10-acre, Hot Tub, Patio

We were looking for somewhere in town where we could walk around, not necessarily go skiing, and this was perfect. The staff were really friendly. The pool is heated, and though the sauna is small, it works great. I'd recommend coming in the off-season. There's a shared kitchen, so bring food if you want to cook. Breakfast isn't offered then, just coffee and tea.

This place beat my expectations and is good value for Aspen. The staff are super friendly, and they'd have cookies and a glass of wine for you when you got back from skiing. The pool shown in the picture is open and hot even in winter. At breakfast, the berries were unlimited.

We were glad it was just a one-night stay. The room was too warm, and there was no way to adjust the fan to cool it down. The bathroom door kept sticking, which got frustrating. We thought breakfast was included, but it was crossed off when we got our key, with no explanation. We were also told there'd be tea or wine in the late afternoon or evening, but there was nothing when we went down. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee or tea to go with it. We also found an unfinished drink in the fridge, so it didn't seem like the room had been checked thoroughly before we arrived.

The rooms aren't fancy by Aspen standards, but they've got what you actually need. For a similar price, or even more, the accommodations are much better than short-term rentals. Hang out in the lobby for a bit and make some friends!
