The breakfast restaurant is one of the best in Astoria, and I’d gladly stay here again. The lobby is cozy and inviting, and the owners have done a thoughtful job with this historic building. I liked the vintage touches in our room, especially the wood mirror. It’s over 100 years old, and you can feel and see its age, so keep that in mind. As a history buff, I loved that. We had a private bathroom, though I thought the shared one looked even nicer, so don’t let that put you off. I’ve also stayed at the Bowline, and for the value I think this place is much better. Just my two cents :)

The shower had great pressure and properly hot water, and the bed was really comfortable. We stayed in The Suite, which also gave us a private bathroom. The building is old, so the creaky floor wasn’t a surprise. You can hear some traffic since it’s above a main road, but it wasn’t too bad, and they provide ear plugs, a fan, and a white noise machine. The lobby is a nice place to spend time, with couches, coffee tables, and a projector TV in the evening. Guests can pick something to watch from the streaming services. It’s a relaxed, reasonably priced spot in a central location, and we’ll definitely use the Commodore again soon.

The street noise came through now and then, so bring your own earplugs if the ones provided don’t suit you. If noise doesn’t bother you, you should be fine. We loved our stay at the Selina Commadore. The suite worked well, including for our dog, and being right in town meant we could walk around. Broder Strand is just downstairs, and the coffee was amazing. The food there was really good too. ❤️

A fun, cute place if you know what you’re getting: old, small rooms, thin walls, and basic amenities. My husband and I liked its quaint, old-fashioned feel, and the employees were really friendly. It’s a great budget option if you want a unique stay. The location is super convenient, just two blocks from the water and a short walk to coffee shops, breweries, and theaters.

The staff are super friendly, and they show movies every night. This place feels like a time machine, from the DVDs and record players to the radiators and charming furniture. The building is nearly 100 years old, and I’d definitely come back. There’s no AC, but the nights are windy and cold, and we even had to turn on the heater.
