Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio North/Stone Oak

We found the hotel calm and relaxing, with friendly, professional staff who made check-in and check-out easy. Breakfast was a nice convenience, and everything in our room was clean and well kept. There was lots of room, a full kitchen, and a comfortable living area, so it felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. The Stone Oak location was quiet and safe, with restaurants, shops, and major roads nearby. A comfortable, dependable choice for North San Antonio, especially for a longer visit.

The front desk staff were nice, and I thought breakfast was pretty good. The hotel itself needs a remodel and is in awful condition. There was a lingering bad smell in the hallways, and the shower pressure was laughable. I had to flush six or seven times after using the bathroom. Even after I told them when I was checking out late, staff came by three separate times to ask again. Ridiculous.

Rooms are roomy and clean, the breakfast gets good feedback, and the service is generally friendly. This place is convenient for families, business trips, or a multi-day visit, with downtown San Antonio easy to reach. There are some parking hassles and the hotel feels a little dated, but those don't outweigh the overall value and comfort.

We drove in from Austin and spent two days here over Thanksgiving. The room was larger than I expected, clean, and had a comfortable bed. What really made the stay was the Thanksgiving dinner the hotel put on for guests that day. We were the first to arrive, and it felt like a caring personal gesture. Sierra, the manager, and the staff went the extra mile to make it a good time.
