Clarion Pointe Athens I-65

The staff were very pleasant, the rooms were clean, and the bathrooms had vents. The pet fee was only $20. We had a great stay and enjoyed breakfast at the little Breakfast Bar. I stopped going to Hilton/Hampton for three reasons: no bathroom vent, visible mold, and digital keys that only worked half the time. Their dog fee had also gone up to over $80 per pet.

We were on our way home and picked Clarion. Ms Aman was especially attentive and efficient, and always had a smile. The room was updated, clean, and very comfortable, with an amazingly good bed. We had a great visit, and breakfast was good too.

The room was clean, nicely furnished, and just what you'd expect from a modest, affordable hotel. I knew what I was paying for and wasn't expecting anything fancy. The reason I'd give it five stars is THE MATTRESS! I've stayed in luxury suites at five-star resorts, and I'd spent two years trying beds at home, including Casper, Saatva, and Helix. I eventually chose a top-of-the-line Helix, but after sleeping at the Athens, AL Days Inn, I'd say I settled. The mattress here was beyond amazing, and the pillows were just as impressive. I called to ask for the make and model of both, and they gave me the information so I could buy them for home. My new top-of-the-line mattress is going in the guest room to replace the one I bought, which is identical to the Days Inn mattress.

My husband, little girl, and I came in hoping to rent a room, but they turned us away because we looked exhausted and had no car. They also lied about the owner being there. I've never been treated so rudely or judged so harshly. We had recently been in a car accident that took our two-year-old son to be with the Lord. The staff should understand that people may be going through something they can't begin to know. You were awful to us. May God have mercy on you.
