The first night, the front desk staff member was polite and helpful. Things went badly when I tried to book a second night through a third party app, either hotels.com or booking.com. The woman at the desk seemed irritated, said, “I no can do this price!” and refused the $10 lower price I’d found online. I politely asked why, and she got angry and told me to leave. When I asked again whether I’d done something wrong, she gave no answer and called another staff member to have him call the police. I understood her to be the owner. I found the whole encounter disrespectful and ridiculous, especially at a place carrying the name “Day Inn.” It left me feeling sick and changed how I think about “outsiders” coming here to catch a break. I’d stood behind their “Boo Hoo’s,” and now I’m in complete disbelief.

Breakfast was hot and there was plenty of it. The staff were polite and ready to help, and the stay was excellent all around.

We only went in because a Tesla charging station was in the parking lot and thought we might stay. Instead, we left for another hotel down the road where we felt more comfortable and welcome. We might stop here again to charge the car, but not to stay. The restroom smelled strongly of smoke, my husband said, and that was unacceptable. Inside, one woman was mopping and another was at the desk. There were no wet floor signs, and neither acknowledged us. After I used the restroom and waited for my husband, I had to interrupt them twice before getting a response. They seemed more focused on speaking badly about other employees than helping guests. I asked about snacks or complimentary items and was told they were available only to Choice members, in a very dismissive way. This place needs to improve its cleanliness, professionalism, and basic customer service.

The room was amazing, and the beds were really comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping in beds because of an old injury, but I slept well here. The woman who checked us in was fantastic and so friendly. We’ll definitely stay again, and I’d recommend it to everyone.
